The Renesas 932SQ420D device meets the Intel Yellow Cover CK420BQ main clock specification for Romley/Grantley. The CK420BQ performance has been enhanced to support PCIE Gen 2, PCIE Gen 3, Intel QPI, and SAS clock phase jitter performance. It is driven with a 25MHz, low ppm crystal that maximizes performance of 100MHz frequency operation, which is different from the previous CK410B clock synthesizer family utilizing a 14.318MHz crystal. In addition it has the low drift spread spectrum clock PLL to support SAS and SRC clocks for a system with SAS link and inter-domain PCIE link communication. If all the outputs are not needed, there are different variants such as the 932SQ425A which is a 56-pin QFN device and 932SQ428A which is a 48-pin QFN device that reduce the number of outputs. These devices will save board space if used.
