The seventh benefit of custom LED and LCD technologies is the ability to deliver plug and play performance. For example, a customer may start with a single LED on a board which could develop into a multiple array. However, this requires individual insertion of multiple LEDs which in itself is inefficient. By taking multiple LEDs and inserting them into a custom housing to form a single LED unit that can be inserted in a single motion provides overall saving of color binning, intensity binning and manufacturing cost.
