ROHM's LTR resistors Wide Terminal configuration significantly improves joint strength against mechanical stress caused by board contraction/expansion. The graph here shows a comparison of ROHM’s LTR50 resistor and a standard MCR50 resistor. After 3000 temperature cycles, note the negligible junction crack rate of an LTR50 vs. the 80% junction crack rate of the MCR50.
