In the server world, many server vendors offer USB3 ports on both front and back of the server. Since the typical server platform is quite large, the CPU chipsets cannot provide enough output drive for the USB3 signal (5 Gb/s) to both front and back connectors, so Pericom’s USB3 ReDriver is again a perfect fit to this application. Pericom USB3 ReDrivers have also been validated by Intel, and are on the recommended vendor list (Blue Sheet) issued by Intel to its customers.
