TPE15017: PoE PD Solution with Integrated Flyback Converter

3PEAK TPE15017 PoE PD with flyback power converters are compatible with the IEEE 802.3af standard interface

Image of 3PEAK TPE15017-QF5R: PoE PD Solution with integrated Flyback Converter The 3PEAK TPE15017 is a monolithic Power over Ethernet (PoE) powered device (PD) with an integrated PD interface and flyback power converter. The PD interface has all the functions of IEEE 802.3af, including detection, classification, inrush current, operation current limit, and 100 V hot-swap MOSFET.

To achieve small size and high-switching frequency, the TPE15017 flyback converter is specifically designed with active clamp primary-side regulation (PSR) flyback topology. The TPE15017 can also be set in secondary side regulation (SSR) active clamped flyback topology, which can get the best regulation through an optocoupler from the secondary side.

The TPE15017 automatically sinks 15 mA pulse current as the maintain power signature in light load condition to maintain the connection with the PSE equipment and turns off the MPS current when the load current is above the MPS threshold.
