Nanocrystalline Cores

Magnetics’ Nanocrystalline cores are an excellent solution for current transformer, common mode choke (CMC), and magnetic amplifier (MagAmp) applications as they exhibit high permeability, low power loss, and high saturation. These features allow for smaller sizes and higher currents. A saturation induction of 1.25 T and a wide temperature range means that a CMC made with nanocrystalline cores is less vulnerable to current imbalance and loss of performance at high temperatures. The material's low AC losses result in excellent efficiency, and the option of durable cases that are available in polyester (<+130°C) and Rynite® polyester (<+155°C) make these cores suitable for winding with thick wire. They are available in toroid, cut toroid, slotted toroid, and cut core shapes.
