TVS Diodes - AEC-Q101 Automotive Qualified 5000 W - TP5KP Series

Littelfuse's AEC-Q101 qualified TVS diodes protect sensitive electronics from load dump and other voltage transients

Image of LIttelfuse's TVS Diodes - AEC-Q101 Automotive Qualified 5000 W – TP5KE SeriesLittelfuse's AEC-Q101 qualified TP5KP series automotive transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes offer a 5000 W peak pulse power dissipation rating in a standard P600 axial-lead package. Their high peak pulse power dissipation rating helps the power systems into which they are designed pass surge tests outlined in the ISO7637-2 international standard, which is widely used in the automotive industry as the basis for transient specifications.

Applications for the TP5KP series include DC line protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics such as electronic control units, sensors, entertainment systems, and body control modules (BCMs). They are also useful for the protection of I/O interfaces, VCC busses and other vulnerable circuits used in telecom, computer, industrial, and portable consumer electronics applications.

Features and Benefits

  • High peak pulse power dissipation rating (5000 W at 10/1000 µs) is well suited for automotive applications. This high rating helps the power systems into which they are designed pass the various 1, 2a, 2b, 3a, and 3b surge tests specified in ISO76372
  • Unidirectional and bidirectional polarity devices offer wide standoff voltage ranges (10 V to 60 V)
  • AEC-Q101 qualified automotive-grade products are also well-suited for high reliability applications
  • Complies with IEC 61000-42 and IEC 6100044 standards to help circuit designers meet global regulatory requirements
