Even in case of the main monitoring system failure, it can continue the battery monitoring function and realize the fail-operational BMS. The S-19193 series is a functional, safety-compliant product developed according to a process that adheres to ISO26262. It achieves an ASIL-B(D) classification based on specific use case assumptions. Using the current monitoring circuit as the primary monitoring system and configuring the secondary monitoring system with this IC, the BMS can achieve ASIL-D classification by applying ASIL decomposition.

  • High-accuracy voltage detection circuit for each cell
    • Overcharge detection voltage n: 2.500 V to 4.500 V (25 mV step)
      • Accuracy ±20 mV (TA = +25°C)
      • Accuracy ±30 mV (TA = -5°C to +55°C)

  • Cascade connection function:
    • Battery voltage monitoring of multiple modules is possible by connecting the upper module output to the CASI1 pin and the CASI2 pin
  • Each delay time is set by an internal circuit only (External capacitors are not necessary; set the delay time to detection delay time > release delay time)
    • Detection delay time: 0.5 ms, 1 ms, 2 ms, 4 ms, 8 ms, 16 ms, 32 ms, 64 ms, 128 ms, and 256 ms
