MC33663ALEFR2 Dual LIN Transceiver Evaluation Board
This reference design features the Freescale KIT33663_EFEVB Evaluation Board. It uses the MC33663ALEFR2 Dual LIN transceiver IC that has two independent LIN bus controllers with a maximum baud rate of 20 kbps as its principal device. The evaluation board has separate switches that enable each of the controllers. It has separate push-buttons that wake up the controller from sleep mode. The board power supply inputs are routed individually for the VDD and VBAT. It has six LEDs that indicate its status and has test points for every pin.
The MC33663ALEFR2 device used in this evaluation board can operate from a voltage supply ranging from 7 to 18V DC supply. This device is compatible with the LIN 2.1 protocol specification and SAEJ2602-2 standard. It has high immunity against electromagnetic interference and can sustain +-15kV electrostatic discharge on its LIN BUS and VSUP pins based on IEC6100-4-2 standard. The device has an over-temperature protection to prevent overheating especially that the device is used in an automotive system where heat is always present.
